What is Heat?

Heat plots the dollars of stock that market makers are being forced to buy or sell as the live options tape trades. Every classified trade is converted into its dealer hedge and summed live against price. Positive means dealers are pushed to buy; negative means they are pushed to sell.

The live flow line gives you current dealer-hedging pressure beside price. It is context, not a prediction or a recommendation.
