Understand the amount you were charged

Plans renew at the then-current rate for your plan and cadence: $39 / $99 / $199 monthly, or $398 / $891 / $1,910 billed once a year. An upgrade mid-cycle applies immediately, with unused time on the old plan pro-rated as credit toward the new one, so the first charge after an upgrade is often an odd-looking partial amount. Taxes, where applicable, appear as their own line.
